Why should I purchase SyncTech from Peter Pepper Products?
PPP has many years of experience with a wide customer base, and manufactures and sells thousands of clock configurations, worldwide. Our customer base includes Healthcare facilities, Universities and Colleges, Corporate Campuses, U.S. Government facilities and Industrial and Manufacturing plants. PPP has the widest selection of designer Analog Clocks, Combination Boards and Message Centers incorporating the SyncTech system. Although we have the largest selection of face graphics, colors and wood finishes, we will be happy to help you design and specify custom configurations for your facility.
How does the cost of a PPP SyncTech system compare to a wired system?
The SyncTech wireless clock system eliminates expensive hard wire between each clock and the master. The installation of hard wire can often cost more that that the clock system itself. Generally speaking, the wireless system will cost 30 – 50% less than a 3-wire 110vac system. Additionally, a SyncTech Wireless clock system has the most options, models configurations and value on the market. Our manufacturing techniques allow PPP to offer the best valued designer wireless clock system available anywhere.
How does PPP SyncTech system compare with competing products?
SyncTech clocks utilize an optimum business frequency range for transmission indoors. SyncTech transmitters are available in 5, 25 and 70 watts, while some competing systems use unlicensed, low power transmitters. While some competing products offer only GPS time receivers, SyncTech offers many other time receivers in addition to GPS, including Ethernet (Network Time Protocol), CDMA (cell towers), PC serial connection, IRIG-B (missile and space), SMPTE (motion picture and television protocol) and more. Every SyncTech Wireless master clock includes a full-featured alarm scheduler and alarm output. In addition, SyncTech digital secondary clocks may optionally incorporate alarm output and analog telephone interface, incase of emergency.
I understand all clocks will display the same time, but will it be the correct time?
SyncTech Master Clock use GPS, Ethernet or CDMA time receivers. Ultimately, the clock system will receive time from the U.S. National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST). All clocks will display the same, correct time. Even though the system clocks can operate accurately for long periods of time in stand-alone mode, the Master Clock transmits time sync data many times throughout the day. No more changing clocks manually between daylight saving and standard time!
How long will the batteries last in the battery operated analog clocks?
SyncTech includes premium Lithium batteries with our clocks unlike some competing companies that only use Alkaline batteries. Our standard Lithium battery packs have a 5 year life, with an optional Lithium battery pack with a 10 year life.
I don't want to use batteries, do you have AC powered clocks?
PPP offers LED digital clock configurations that utilized AC power line. LED digital clocks produce light so they can be seen at a greater distance than an analog clock of the same size. Also, the LED display can be expected to last 20-30 years. Analog clocks can also be configured to run off of AC power as well.
How easy is it to install a SyncTech wireless clock system?
Any wireless system is far easier than installing a wired clock system. But, while some competitors will say it is extremely easy, the degree of difficulty is subjective and depends upon the specific system to be installed. Furniture installers, electricians, IT personnel or maintenance staff will have no problem installing any part of the system. In fact, the battery powered analog system clock installation amounts to simply hanging them on the wall. That's it! Some Master Clocks are just as easy to install, such as those that incorporate CDMA, cell tower time receivers or an Ethernet (NPT) interface. GPS transmitter clocks require the time receiver antenna to be mounted on the rooftop or in a window so that it has a "clear view of the sky". As soon as power is applied to the master clock, it begins synchronizing the secondary clocks as they are powered up.
Where do I install the SyncTech Master Clock?
The SyncTech Master Clock typically installed in the computer/server room, equipment room or security-public safety office. Centrally located locations are generally best for complete transmission coverage.
Does SyncTech offer an Emergency Text Notification system?
Yes, SyncTech Emergency Text Notification Systems are available to instantly send text and/or pre-programmed audio messages throughout a facility or across an entire campus. The text notification system is received by dedicated LED displays within your facility via a reliable licensed UHF business frequency. SyncTech displays any combination of time, emergency, or general information notification using wireless message displays. You can display a single stationary message or rotate through a group of messages to individuals or sign groups. When not in the text mode, the displays can show Day-Date-Time information.
