Peter Pepper Celebrates 70 Years of Design

December 9, 2024

As a start up in 1952, Peter Pepper's legacy of design innovation was focused on accessory products, and as accessories have evolved into the ancillary product category, Peter Pepper in essence has continually developed ancillary solutions for all commercial environments.

Peter Pepper Products got its start in the eponymous founder's home base in the Los Angeles area with wife Jacquie Pepper, designing many of the wall art pieces. Peter Pepper was founded on an early recognition that taking the long view about what people need in their workplace would be a better strategy than merely responding to the current trends. Their rich portfolio of ancillary pieces has seen a boom in specifications and appreciation from designers contending with the rise and challenges of the evolving workplace.

Peter's background in design, engineering, photography, and sales were helpful when he recognized the need for a range of products that enriched environments through both their aesthetic influence and their functional performance. At the time, no one else was doing this in a deliberate way: looking at the big picture, paying attention to design, craftsmanship and product choice. In the late 1950's, Peter Pepper transitioned his residential accessory line into the newly emerging contract furniture industry.

Legacy products included Wall Sconce Candelabras, Wood and Bronze Sculptures, Wall Art, Geometric Wood and Aluminum Boxes, Occasional Tables, Walnut File and Letter Trays and more. As the company grew, Peter Pepper became known as 'the source' for contract accessories delivering the highest caliber of design and producing an inspired product line offering unparalleled selection.

Peter Pepper continues their innovation with the launch of Te'la''io Mobile Space Partitions, in addition to their well-designed Waste and Recycling Receptacles, Healthcare Product Solutions, Visual Communication Collection, Worksurfaces, Display Cases, Carts, Magazine & Literature Racks, Clocks, Coat Hooks and many others. These stylish products are perfect for workplace, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, institutional and government environments.

While Peter passed in 1995, the company remains family-owned and operated, continuing the tradition of design excellence. Sigi Pepper, Peter's wife as President/CEO, and with over 50 years as co-design director, Michael Pepper as Director of Operations and Kip Pepper as VP of Sales and Marketing, along with many dedicated and talented team members and independent sales representatives throughout the United States and Canada.

The personality, performance and progress which has catapulted Peter Pepper Products to the top, we believe will do the same for your challenging environments.
